Mobile Roaming WiFi

MarineNet Wireless is a big promoter of MESH WiFi networking technology enabling users to become Internet "Nodes" to greatly increase mobile coverage areas where other WiFi systems only dream of going! We have assembled packages that serve several functions...

  1. MESH Nodes Act as a common high powered "Client" for full compatibility/setup via your web browser with other manufacturers Access Points getting you connected on the Internet with rock solid signals in marina's, out at anchor and other locations that may already have non-MESH WiFi equipment.

  2. When in the presents of a MESH network, switch it to the "Node/Repeater" setting that enables relaying thru other MESH nodes back to the MESH base station. (See Base Station Packages). Neat part is... When other MESH users are operating in the "Node/Repeater" setting and comes in and out of range of your Node/Repeater MESH unit, constantly keeps track of who has the best connection with the Internet and makes the path automatically!

  3. MarineNet Wireless also offers MESH capable High Power "Client Bridges" and PCMCIA (Inside the computer) without the "Node" function that are fully compatible with MESH and all standard Access Points for cost effective high power WiFing where available.

  4. MarineNet Wireless MESH Base Station Packages allows you to start your own WiFi service with one and grow and grow. Works with any WiFi card (Non-MESH Clients) to get them on the Internet. On-line Web Access to administration Screens makes this one of the simplest methods of servicing marina's and other locations with WiFi Internet service. Proven High Power Technology That Works!

MESH... Simply stated, allows automatic linking to other "nodes" for node-to-node connections back to a WiFi base station producing a much larger coverage area than one single base station could ever deliver. Vessels equipped with a MESH node unit enjoy fast Internet service as always while also acting as an automatic relay for other's farther away from the MESH base station. Some MESH systems allow up to 17 miles offshore while working with other vessels acting as MESH repeaters!

No special drivers or networking to install into your computer due to MESH base stations, Nodes and Client Bridges are stand-alone units that only require an Ethernet connection back to your computer. Only the PCMCIA high powered WiFi card requires a simple driver that won't drive you or your computer crazy!

MarineNet Wireless is not interested in selling every WiFi solution out on the market. MESH networks in an marine environment is a natural and provides effective, simple solutions for an emerging technology. Let MarineNet Wireless experience in mobile data design and deployment work for you on your WiFi solution.

MESH Access Point
Simple WiFi Solutions Providing WiFi In Marina's

Connect to a DSL or Cable Modem to provide high speed Internet access for Marina's, Developments or shoreline locations. Inexpensive to build in redundancy by adding more MESH Access Points if signal is lost as all MESH Nodes automatically switch to another active unit!

  • Traffic is routed by allowing each Access Point, known as a node, to speak with other nodes in the area, which delivers the user data to its final destination.

  • Self Healing Wireless Networking In the event of a node failure/fadeout, other nodes in the area pick up traffic and route it, just as if the failure never occurred.

Just two advantages of using a mesh in your network. When you need to deploy wireless in a marina, hotels and Multi-Tenant Units, Mesh is a perfect solution to provide complete coverage plus lower deployment cost.
